SAFARI TO THE BIOSPHERE RESERVE:

It's an excellent nautical escape of 30 miles' sail.  Our destination is to get into the 2nd section of the islands and to cross the Paraná de las Palmas, declared a Biosphere Reverve by the UNESCO.

We visit a quiet and virgin place, where there are plenty of birds and where fishing can be practised as a sport.

It is easy to watch a wide variety of autochthonous birds, which will surprise you.

Lunch is served at a typical guesthouse, which is run by its owners.  Here you can enjoy:

  • Starter
  • Main course
  • Dessert
  • Coffee or tea
  • Wine

The high quality meals are home made and abundant.
The menu consists in a starter, main course, dessert and coffee or tea (different flavours)
Meat, smoked chicken, pork, vegetables, bread, pizza and other specialties are roasted over wood in a typical oven made of dry mud.
On Saturdays, at noon, we traditionally prepare our famous smoked chicken with vegetables.

On Sundays, as it is traditionally done in Argentina, we roast a savory barbecue, sausages, morcillas, matambrito de cerdo (rolled pork meat, with spices) and first quality meat, together with a wide variety of salads and an exquisite selection of desserts.
Here we will have lunch and talk about the habits of the islanders and the local flora and fauna.

All our tours are private and led by a local guide.  As well as that, they include a snack on board.
Our timetables can be arranged according to availability.

The return trip is made along a different circuit from the one taken on our outward journey.  It ends at the Tigre River Station, which was our starting point.

Safari total cost, including lunch, local guide and on-board snack per person:
